The whole transfer saga is getting all a bit pants...sorry.

The latest twist in the on/off getting a little tiresome Samir Nasri saga comes courtesy of one of the more reliable publications.

According to the Independent Nasri is determined to leave The Emirates.

The Indy notes:

“Arsenal were facing up to the fact they may have no option but to sell Samir Nasri last night after the player made it clear how desperate he is to leave, following Manchester United’s £20m offer.

“The mood at Old Trafford has been one of mounting pessimism after the initial offer for Nasri, tabled three weeks ago, failed to elicit even a formal rejection from the north London club. The Independent understands that Nasri and manager Arsène Wenger did not hold talks when the midfielder returned to London Colney yesterday. But the club is establishing a full sense of how badly Nasri wants to leave, with the prospect of the silverware at United strengthening his resolve to go.”

What to make of this latest report is as confusing as the midfielder’s penchant for woolly neck wear but if there is any truth to the story then its seems United’s interest may have sparked Nasri’s desire to leave, rather than the other way round.

Watch this space as we’ll endeavour to try and keep you as up to date as possible with the shenanigans surrounding the French international.

  2. Rajnair says:

Agree with Chaka.Nasri will be a good signing for MU.MU would still need a holding midfielder and Sneijder is the right person for it. He’s also good at set pieces.

Arsenal have now offered him £110,000 p/w to stay.

everything lee says i agree .Need one of the best midfielders in the world (WESLEY SLIGHTLEY BALDING SNIEJDER).ha

  5. Stephen says:

The reason nasri tailed off is because he is wasted on the wing, when fabregas was injured nasri thrived, exactly what Will happen when he plays central for united, and then he Will be the world class player he’s going to be, he’s not even peaked yet

  6. ChrisW says:

Arsenal don’t want to sell Nasri to a rival club but if he goes on a free next summer he’ll almost certainly end up at one of their rivals anyway.

Arsenal have to decide whether it’s worth turning down £20m+ just to keep Nasri for one more year.

For me it takes more Modric, than Sneijder or Nasrir. but Modric wants to go to chelsea…

schweinsteiger and Sneijder together in united, that only in dreams. hire two players 27 years, that would be crazy. Thing is, thus, Sneijder and Nasrir, or schweinsteiger and Nasrir… now same closer this nasrir of the united that Sneijder..

Nasri, scweindteiger and sneijder are the type of plyrs unted needs, they will be fantastic with even 2 of these 3 mentioned.

  9. SoccerLimey says:

Apparently reports out of Sky Sport Italia suggesting that Nasri has signed a deal to move to the Berties for $40m have been shot down in flames by Tim Payton of The Gunners Supporters Club.

What a damn shame that is……
