Samir Nasri

Going nowhere after all the hullaballoo

The on/off saga involving Samir Nasri’s potential move away from the Emirates, looks ‘off’ again as Arsene Wenger confirmed the French international is staying at Arsenal.

The Sun reports:

“The Arsenal boss insisted that Nasri — who has only got one year left on his contract — will stay at the club regardless of whether he extends his deal.

“Wenger said: “Will he be at the club this season? I say yes. Will he sign a new contract? I hope yes but I’m not the only one to decide that.

“There is always speculation when a player has only one contract year to go and has not signed a new contract that he might leave the club.

“But Samir Nasri is very happy at the club and is committed to staying at the club.”

Although Nasri is a quality player,  I honestly don’t feel too disappointed that he won’t be joining United. With Rooney’s ability to play practically as an attacking midfielder, plus the abundance of wide man we have at Old Trafford, it’s a more conventional central midfielder United should be chasing not an attacking one.

As an Arsenal supporter I was disappointed to see that they [Nasri & Fabregas] would be staying.

Its pretty obvious to me that Arsenal’s season fell apart because of weak links within the team.

Clichy, Nasri and Fabregas ARE the weak links, yes and the latter 2 are very skill full but they are not mentally strong enough, because, if they were we would have won the league last year!

We united fans need Nasiri & Sneidjer 2 build up strong midf-field.
