The United team to face Norwich City at Carrow Road has been announced with a good mix of youth and experience. David De Gea is finally getting a consistent run in the side- which has shown in his recent improved performances.

There’s no Wayne Rooney so it’s up to Hernandez to partner Danny Welbeck up front. A midfield of Scholes and Carrick  should ahve the neccesary experience and vision to cause the Canaries more than a few problems. Much may depend on Nani today, who with Antonio Valencia injured is United’s preferred right winger for the foreseeable future.

Ryan Giggs makes his 900th appearance for United- an amazing record that will surely never be equalled and hopefully he can celebrate it with a typically imprssive performance on the left wing. Phil Jones at rgiht back may be able to get forward and cause Norwich some serious problems.

Starting XI: De Gea Jones Evans Ferdinand Evra Scholes Giggs Carrick Nani Welbeck Hernandez

Subs: Amos, Rafael, Smalling, Berbatov, Park, Young, Fabio
