De Gea – Didn’t have much to deal with all game but still managed to pull off a wonder save late on thanks to his good concentration. 6

Rafael – Regularly troubled by the Wolves attack and was caught out of position on a few occasions. Did well going forward. 5

Evans – His first Manchester United league goal has been long overdue. His performances of late have silenced all his critics and a goal will only help him take his game to another level. 7

Ferdinand – Good enough to be a midfielder at most Premier League clubs if not for his aging legs. Unbelievable touch, vision with the ball and reading of the game. 7

Evra – Rarely troubled but failed to double up with Welbeck and punish the Wolves defence. Deserves his much need rest after being subbed off early by Fergie. 6

Valencia – Tormented the Wolves defence all game with countless runs and crosses. Scored a belter after making a surging run from his own half. Beast. 8

Carrick – Provided vital protection for the defence with multiple interceptions. He also earned a much deserved break after a long stretch of impressive performances. 7

Scholes – He played deep yet still managed to pull the strings all game. His diagonal passes all found their men as he set the tempo for the wingers to attack. 9

Welbeck – Worked tirelessly as per usual with him tracking back and making various clearances. Linked play well and got a much deserved goal. Just needs to be a bit more clinical in front of goal. 8

Rooney – Made a few mistakes earlier on but improved as the game went on. Passed the ball well but never looked like scoring. 7

Hernandez- Frustrating to watch at times but still managed to score two, both of which involved clever movement and deadly finishing. Lethal. 8

Subs:

Pogba – Had little to offer going forward and looked slightly lost. We might be expecting too much off him at such a young age. 5

Fabio – Easily beaten at times but looked to get forward with the ball. He looks much more like a winger than a fullback but even then his crosses need to improve. 5

Smalling – Brought in late on to offer some height and strength in defence and did well from set pieces to maintain the clean sheet. 6

Not sure about a 5 for Pogba. Came on when United had the game rapped up and were looking to hold onto the ball. Didn’t do much wrong at all.

I’d give Pogba a 6, I think he was under orders to stay back and keep to score the same….

Sorry I disagree with your assessment Scholes and Hernandez. Firstly Scholes Very good and always makes room for himself in midfield but does he pass forward or make chances for the forwards (NO)
    He passes sideways and backwards.
Hernandez, always offside and the two goals were put on a plate for him, I just wish he could keep onside and learn how to control the ball because his movement in the box is fantastic
