Will we see the former Le Havre player in a United shirt again?

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that midfielder Paul Pogba is out for the season after damaging his ankled in Monday’s reserve game against Newcastle.

The much-talked about youngster, has been under never-ending speculation regarding his future, and Pogba is still yet to put pen to paper over a new deal, despite Sir Alex making it clear the club want him to stay.

The United boss also admitted that Brazilian Anderson won’t be playing for The Reds this season after his ongoing injury problems have ruled him out.

Ferguson revealed: “Anderson is not going to play again this season and Paul got injured in Monday and he is out for the season,”

Anderson recently got himself into a bit of trouble over in Brazil, after refusing to take a breathalyser after being stopped by the police. The former Porto man was fined for his actions.

It may seem a tad melodramatic to claim that either player has kicked his last ball for the club, but let’s look at some of the facts: Despite all the overtures United and Ferguson have made towards Pogba, he still hasn’t signed a new deal and the best hope of convincing him seemed to lie with the rest of this season. Can United still convince Pogba to remain at the club? I’m not so sure.

Anderson in the mean time seems to suffer from serious injury almost every season and there’s still concerns that he’s even United class.

Anderson suffered a severed dip in form following a great start to the season and has yet to put together a consistent run that hasn’t been interrupted by either injury or poor performances.

Many cite Anderson’s partnership with Tom Cleverley as proof that the Brazilian is a valuable member of the side, however can we really rely on a player who only seems to truly perform with any semblance of consistency when he’s alongside another midfielder who’s struggled for games?
