Following United’s somewhat pedestrian victory over Amazulu on Wednesday night, many fans will be hoping for something a tad more exciting today.

The most disappointing aspect of Wednesday’s game was the absence of a certain Japanese starlet, who was given barely enough time on the pitch to even touch the ball, let alone show us signs of his talent.

Shinji Kagawa, aside there were some positives to take from Wednesday’s game, such as seeing the youngsters Robbie Brady, Ryan Tunnicliffe, Jesse Lingard, Scott Wootton, Davide Petrucci, Marnick Vermijl and Tyler Blackett being given a run-out.

There was also the opportunity to see Dimitar Berbatov playing for the Reds in what may prove to be one of his final games in a United shirt. With the likes of Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick and Rio Ferdinand making the trip, the tour hasn’t been just about saying farewell to departing faces and giving kids a chance.

For the game today Sir Alex has picked something of a mix as could be expected, with a blend of youth and experience, the main question though is will Kagawa start…and he does!

United XI: Amos; Vermijl, Wootton, Ferdinand, Blackett; Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Anderson; Kagawa, Chicharito.

it will be good to get a proper look at Kagawa in a United shirt.

hopefully Tunnicliffe gets a decent run out too and maybe Bebe can get a chance to do something, anything to show why to bought him.
