Lindegaard – Made a few decent catches here and there but didn’t have much else to do. Good enough. 6

Rafael – Failed to get involved early on but started to push forward as the game progressed. Won a few decent aerial duels. 6

Rio – Captain-esque performance. Read the game well and made several classy interceptions. 7

Vidic – Finally on his way back to his old self but he’s got a whole lot left to reach his own high personal standards. 6

– Really like this kid. He’s got balls, isn’t afraid to run at players, gets stuck in and he has a mean cross. Oh, and he looks like a psychopath which always comes in handy. 9
Nani – Quiet but still produced one moment of genius which lead to our breakthrough goal. We don’t have many players that can do what he does which is why we have to keep him. 6

Scholes – Not much to say about how great he is, but now I can even say he’s had a very good game in terms of tackling as well. 8

Carrick – Finding his form again. Passing was varied in range, pace was on point and the creativity was there. More please. 7

– Lacklustre and slow, his winger days are long gone. Don’t like seeing him start alongside Scholes either. Good to see him back though. 5

– Played really well today. Carried the ball from deep, linked well with his teammates and even won a penalty with a cheeky drop. Would be gutted to see him play out on the left after this performance. 8

Hernandez – I don’t think anyone has ever needed a goal more desperately than he has, especially after that poor penalty. Decent performance though. 7

Subs:

RVP – Can we not bring him on when were 3 goals up and risk injuring him from now on. Please? 5

Powell – Scored a peach. Looking forward to watching more of him soon. 7

Evans – Glad to have my ‘Player of the Season’ from last year back in the team. 6

Was Buttner really that good? Didn’t get to see the match today.

How the hell did carrick get a 7. constantly gave the ball away in the first have, and only settled into his usual role (remaining anonymous) when we were 3-0 up

Buttner 9?? Relax. Lets not forget he needs to be a defender first up. Easy to be good at attacking

      Buttner 9, Welbeck 8.

I get that this is a fan site, but really, isn’t it at least a little bit possible to separate your excitement/fondness for a player from how you rate them…..at least pretend to a little bit of objectivity?

So if Welbeck had actually scored for once he’d have been a 10 then?

Buttner rated i agree with it but Nani have to be the second in the rate. Nani was the player that brought up the spirit of scoring to man united. In mine Nani was the man of the match
