De Gea – Today could have been a completely different story if it wasn’t for his shot-stopping ability. Something about Chelsea brings out the best in the boy. Hopefully that’ll cement his #1 place in the team. 9

Rafael – Constantly bombarded the Chelsea half with one run after another. He gets better every time I see him. 8

Ferdinand – Not his usual composed self. Seemed a bit panicky at times, which lead to a few muddle-ups with Jonny. 6

Evans – Could have played as a midfielder from how sharp his passing was. Made some crucial interceptions too. 7

Evra – I love giving praise to Pat, because when I do, it means he’s genuinely played really well. Just hope he keeps it up now. 7

Valencia – Ashley Cole will wake up in a heap tonight after having nightmares of Antonio skinning him over and over again. If only he could shoot! 8

Cleverley – Offer no protection to the defence and offered even less up front. Lost the ball all too frequently. 5

Carrick – Acted as a shield in front of the defence and won countless tackles. Always showed for the ball and helped keep possession. 8

Young – A crucial element to why Evra played so well. Always tracked back and offered the simple option out wide. Saw little of the ball up front but was class when he had it. 7

Rooney – Worked hard, passed the ball well, but one moment of pure selfishness and stupidity nearly cost United the game today. What a muppet. 6

Van Persie – Everything he touched turned into gold. Still can’t believe we’ve signed him. 8

Subs:

Hernandez – I’ve missed this boy, I really have. His confidence is back and so is his sharpness in front of goal. More of the same please. 8

Giggs- His experience helped steady a shaking ship. 7

These ratings are a complete joke.

Agree about Rafael – he is improving every game and is my shout for player of the season at this early stage. Thought an 8 for Carrick was extremely generous – I thought it was his worst game of the season. He gave a LOT of ball away in the middle of the park but thankfully we weren’t punished. Stoked for Chicha with his goal.

Loving seeing all these Chelski fans packing absolute sads.
