De Gea – Looked more uncomfortable than usual when collecting the ball from crosses today, and that’s saying something. Clearly lacking in confidence thanks to Fergie’s bizarre rotations policy. 5

Rafael – What’s that in his pocket? Oh, it’s only Ben Arfa. What a player this young boy is turning out to be. One of our best performers all season so far. 8

Rio – Calm and composed as per usual today. That Spurs game looks like it’s been long forgotten. Cleared everything that came his way and made life a lot easier for the ‘keeper. 8

Evans – With us so short of defenders, it’s important that he makes himself count. He has, and he even has a great goal to show for it now. 7

Evra – He was great. No, I’m actually being serious. He was really, really good. He provided all our width in the first half and positioned himself well when defending deep. He even scored. Yes, I am being serious! Why does no one believe me? 9 (MOTM)
Kagawa – A bit quiet, yet again. His early form seems to have disappeared but he’ll be back soon enough. 6

Carrick – Kept the midfield tight and didn’t allow the Newcastle players any room to run into or pass the ball. A real ‘Roy Keane’ performance today. 7

Cleverley – Picked up the ball, moved to across the pitch, showed for it, received, carried it forward and released. Simple, but effective. Very influential, and it’s the best I’ve seen him play in ages. Scored a cheeky goal too. 8

Rooney – Played deeper than usual today but seemed to do everything right. Won countless headers in our box, then burst into the opposition half and connected well with the two strikers. What a revelation he’s been recently. 9

Van Persie – Spoke about getting a few more assists recently, and he did just that. Amazing what happens when your corners don’t come off the first man, ay? 6

Welbeck – Seemed off-pace today. Worked hard, but the quality wasn’t there. Was through on goal but took a touch that took him to the corner flag. He needs a goal because he looks like he’s lacking confidence as well. 5

Subs:

Valencia – Came on and added a bit more width to our play. 6

Scholes – Picked up a complimentary yellow card. 5

Giggs – He’s nearly 39. What a legend. 5

Delighted with the points,we were flattered at times when we were two goals up.I think were actually ruining kagawas talent,he`s a class player but were turning him into an average player.

Question about Ben Arfa: Do you think he would be good enough to play for United??
