De Gea – Produce a couple of good routine saves when called upon. Had a quiet night otherwise. 7

Jones – Started off brightly but picked up an injury early on. Here’s to hoping he’ll be back in time for Madrid. 5

Smalling – Another promising performance by the English youngster who looked comfortable at the back with Nemanja. 7

Vidic – Looking his best again and couldn’t have picked a better time to get match-fit with the game against Real soon approaching. 8

Büttner – Looked really promising today. I’ve had my doubts over him but he had a great game. 7

Valencia – I really can’t be bothered to go on another tantrum about him. Sorry. 4

Cleverley – Faded in and out of the game but good on the ball. His movement off the ball was very good too. 7

Anderson – He also had a mixed game, but I expected a lot more from him. Fitness still looks shot too. 6

Young – A real disappointment today. Started off brightly but disappeared ten minutes into the game. 3

Welbeck – After such a brilliant performance midweek, he had a quiet game tonight. Definitely not his best United performance. 5

Hernandez – Dropped deep and connected well with our midfield, always involved and took his goal really well. 8

Subs:

Nani – Came on and changed the game completely. Hopefully this performance will have changed his, and our season too. 9

Van Persie – He plays, we win. 7

Carrick – Came on, passed the ball and kept things simple but brilliant. 7

    Worst ratings yet!

Valencia 4? He did a decent job defensively, and put in some good crosses. He even notched up an assist. I hope this was a typing mistake, and you tried to reward him with a 6 or something :p

Some odd marks, Smalling 7 ? The guy was average very uncomfortable on the ball, Vidic spot on , Cleverley another mediocre performance he is no Jack Wilshere, Hernandez did ok but better from the bench as we all know, Nani changed the game just wish he could do this on a regular basis but would rather him stay than Young who is a joke, he wouldn’t make Readings team ,his contribution this season apart from his embarrassing diving has been nil, giving him 3 was a tad too generous

Seriously confused about why Vidic has only got an 8. He was absolutely perfect yesterday and in my eyes deserves at least a 9; any young player should look to him on how to defend. Yes Nani was threatening, but I still think he is surplus to requirements at United. The way he plays (by shooting from miles out, not tracking back and only really passing when he is looking for a 1-2) he is almost required to be a luxury player (one that is so magical and consistant that he can focus all his energy on attacking). And he is not good enough for that. He’s just a rich mans Taarabt.

Smelling, Valencia and Young all struggled Smalling and Young have an excuse they are not match fit and have not played much. same can be said for Anderson for if any player has to come off it Is. Always Anderson. Yet Giggs always plays 90 minutes.
