United entertain Chelsea- or as they’re currently called ‘Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea’- later this evening, with David Moyes handed his first real test as the Reds manager.

Despite all the media adulation and sycophancy Mourinho’s Chelsea side have yet to really get going and were fairly pedestrian in their opening win over Hull while referee Kevin Friend gave the Pensioners a helping hand against Aston Villa.

Mourinho knows that the champions are a different animal altogether than the two sides he’s faced so far and while all eyes may be on Wayne Rooney, this is a game where it’s the midfield that could well decide the outcome. Moyes may be tempted to throw the sought after Rooney straight into the firing line but something tells me Rooney could well find himself starting on the bench.

Predicted XI:

DDG, Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Nani, Danny Welbeck, Tony Valencia, RVP.

Do you agree? Let us know your side:
