Anderson is set to be sold in January by David Moyes who’s decided the Brazilian is no longer a part of his plans, according to reports. The former Porto man was given a chance in pre-season as Moyes indicated he was willing to give the midfielder a chance to prove himself. Poor performances against Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion seem to have been the final straw for Moyes when it comes to Anderson.

The Daily Star notes:

The midfielder is not part of Moyes’s plans and will be sold in the next transfer window.

Old Trafford bosses are desperate to get him off the wage bill – and Starsport understands United will listen to offers in the region of £8m for the 25-year-old.

A club source said: “Anderson isn’t up to the standards required. He just hasn’t fulfiled his potential. If someone makes a decent bid for him in January he will be sold.”

Many Reds won’t be too disappointed to see the back of Anderson after six years of excuses, although it should be remembered it’s not all been a waste of time, as four titles shows. There’s always that penalty in Moscow to remember as well…
