There was much fanfare in the press this week as Sir Alex Ferguson began the launch of his brand new autobiography at the Institute of Directors in London.

As the UK’s press gathered to see which former players, opponents and managers would get the hairdryer treatment in black and white – it became apparent Sir Alex wasn’t in Carrington.

While it was certainly Fergie Time, the great man’s spirit didn’t fill the room of what is ironically a Tory stronghold – and it’s said that he looked a ill at ease with the atmosphere.

But at least we got what we all wanted – verdicts on who he rated and slated during his 26 year reign at Old Trafford.
