United face the mighty Bayern Munich at Old Trafford later this evening where if we’re completely honest most fans would be almost relieved to only lose the game by a goal or two. United’s recent home form, which has seen defeats to the likes of Liverpool and Man City has not so much demoralised an already low Old Trafford, as completely destroyed any real hope of a victory this evening. But hey we’re Man United and we’ve got a history of upsetting the odds no matter how unlikely.
David Moyes needs his side to perform at their very best to have any chance of defeating the European Champions and the key may be packing the midfield. With the likes of Toni Kroos and Thomas Muller at his disposal Pep Guardiola could see his side dominate the centre of the park so Moyes needs to counter this.
Rafael missed training but there’s a chance that could’ve been a precaution.
Here’s my predicted line up for tonight’s game:
David De Gea, Rafael, Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Alexander Buttner, Phil Jones, Michael Carrick, Ryan Giggs, Danny Welbeck, Shinji Kagawa, Wayne Rooney – in a 4-5-1 formation.

i think valencia should be in and fletcher also had a good perfomance against villa so should be given chance
I don’t feel that Buttner should be in the squad.. He has only played a few games for us, so the fact that he may start in probably the most important game of the season for us worries me.
