Real Madrid? No chance!

David De Gea has given United fans the news they’ve been longing to hear by signing a new deal at the club according to the latest media reports.

The Metro notes: David De Gea has reportedly signed a new five-year-deal to stay at Manchester United.

United have been desperately trying to tie De Gea down to a new deal in recent weeks, amid growing interest from Real Madrid.

And despite speculation last week that the 24-year-old had agreed terms with Madrid ahead of a summer switch, reports say he’s now staying at Old Trafford having signed up until 2020.

Italian news outlet Mediaset revealed the news in a post on their official Twitter feed.

Although the news has yet to be confirmed by the club, it seems the story may have some truth to it as there’s been suggestions talks between United and De Gea have been ongoing for the past few weeks. Ever since Sir Alex’s retirement De Gea has been the one constant bright spark in the side, let’s hope it’s true and he really is staying at the club for the foreseeable future.
