The youngster could get a start today.

City’s draw against Hull, along with Arsenal’s loss to Spurs has given today’s game at the Boleyn ground an added edge as the Reds could move to within three points of the champions and put some distance between themselves and the Gunners.

United’s recent wins over Leicester City and Cambridge United have given the Reds a solid platform going into a match which could be pivotal in the race for a top four spot. Despite naturally looking to move closer to City Louis Van Gaal reminded fans that for him and his team the target is still to make the Champions League places and a win today would go a long way to acheiving that.

Wayne Rooney has endured a difficult run of form in a deeper role so Van Gaal may be tempted to push his captain further forward alongside James Wilson which could allow Ander Herrera to make a rare start in midfield.

Radamel Falcao and Robin Van Persie may have to settle for a place on the bench along with Juan Mata.

Here’s a predicted line up for today’s game:

4-4-2: David De Gea, Rafael, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Tony Valencia, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind,  Angel Di Maria, Wayne Rooney, James Wilson.

You have obviously run out of your meds. Rooney and Wilson over Falcao and Ven Persie? I don’t see Herrera or Valencia there either. We’ll see Fellaini instead of Herrera. Rooney behind Falcao and Van Persie
