falcao_paperManchester United’s big Summer loan signing Radamel Falcao could be set to join one of our rivals as both Chelsea and Liverpool are reported to be lining up bids for the Colombian.

Falcao has failed to hold down a place in the United side since joining last Summer and is thought to cost around £43 million on a permanent deal which the Reds are reluctant to sanction.

With Liverpool in need of another striker as both Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli fail to provide any real back up for injury prone Daniel Sturridge, Falcao could fit the bill.

Chelsea are also interested in the Colombian as with Didier Drogba only seen as short term back up to Diego Costa, Jose Mourinho needs one more forward in his squad to provide the firepower alongside Costa and Loic Remy.

Falcao may not have set Old Trafford alight since he arrived but his class is obvious and a move to one of our rivals could work out for the former Monaco man.
