The latest United transfer story is one that on the surface seems to be highly unlikely, as the chances of Barcelona selling Neymar seem remote at best.

Despite the fact it’s almost certainly never going to happen, that hasn’t stopped the Neymar to United juggernaut gathering a little steam, so much so that following his side’s recent one nil win over Athletic Bilbao Luis Enrique found himself being asked about his Brazilian’s reported move.

The Mail notes:

“Luis Enrique refused to deny that Barcelona and Manchester United had been in contact about Neymar.

The Catalan boss wasn’t to be drawn on the stories emerging over the weekend that Louis van Gaal wants to sanction a mega move for the Brazil forward.

Ed Woodward was in Barcelona last week and there are suggestions United are trying to force through a deal before the end of the transfer window.

‘Talking about Neymar and other clubs doesn’t interest me,’ Enrique said after Barcelona’s slender 1-0 win at Athletic Bilbao.”

Reports have already circulated that Neymar is open to a move to Old Trafford, but that means very little as there is every likelihood he’ll be offered a new deal at the Nou Camp soon. For the time being we’ll just have to endure more rumours and Enrique will have to keep denying them.

Why is LVG chasing a shadows. Why is he looking for a striker that is not available. Barca cannot release one of their best player to man utd. Why can’t LVG face reality. I think he is playing games. He did the same thing against Muller that is not for sale. He is doing it to deceive the fans. Am surprise Edwoodward cannot call him to order and go for a good complete striker that are available before transfer market close. He is doing it deliberately because he did not believe in buying any striker. Neymar issue is a complete waste of time.
