United fans have been left crowing after the latest superb performance by young star Anthony Martial in the 3-1 win over Derby County.
The young Frenchman was named man of the match in the FA Cup fourth round win over the East Midlanders as he was a constant threat down the left hand side, creating chances and setting up Juan Mata for United’s third goal.
Louis Van Gaal praised Martial but not before noting the youngster didn’t have the best of starts to the game.
The United manager noted:
“He started not so good, I think, but I said that to him and after the first 20 minutes he came into the match and he was fabulous.”
It may seem a tad harsh to point out Martial’s relatively slow start to the game but that seems to be the manager’s method of being reluctant to fully praise players – David De Gea’s performances have constantly been downplayed by Van Gaal regardless of how impressive they are.
Despite United’s poor run of late Martial has been one of the few shining lights and given United fans something cheer to about.
Good performance boys. You deserve praise. We want to see u replicate this performance against stoke on tuesday. Man U for life.
Martial has a problem. I hate him playing like a winger whereas he’s a striker. I don’t really know what is wrong with him, if a striker is approaching the box no matter where u are deployed to play, he should learn how to shoot from distance. I could remember Nani then, he can shoot from distance after his tricky step ghosting past his opponent. Then why martial can’t shOot?, is it must for him to get into the box and create chances for the rest who don’t value his work rate?, NO. Moreover this thing keep persisting in the team play, no body is willing to shoot from distance or else they get into the box 9. Am sorry if we keep playing like this, our scoring goals will be limited.

Van Gaal shuld just go hang himself
Martial is great but he should be advised to pass the ball earlier and don’t attempt to shoot always.He wastes a lot of chances that could have been easily converted by others in the box
