Could the winger be heading to Old Trafford?

With all the euphoria of the Reds’ win over Swansea, any talk of buying new players has almost been put on the back burner but with an awful run in November and December there’s no doubt Louis Van Gaal’s squad needs improving.

One player whose name keeps coming up when discussing United targets is Southampton’s Sadio Mane and it seems the Senegalese winger may be moving closer to a deal to tale him Old Trafford.

The Mirror notes: Skipper Rooney has overtaken the goal tally set by legend Denis Law, and he is now just 11 behind Sir Bobby Charlton’s all-time club record of 249.

But even their captain’s heroics will not stop United chasing Southampton’s unhappy £25million-rated forward Sadio Mane. He was dropped for Saints’ defeat at Norwich on Saturday after turning up late for a team meeting.

The Old Trafford board have said they will back Van Gaal in the transfer window. United look certain to ask Southampton if they will now sell Mane.

With 64 goals to his name during his career, it’s obvious the 23 year old Mane could be just the attacking force United need and fits the bill perfectly as a pacy winger who could operate on either flank. Whether United take the plunge over the next few weeks remains to be seen, watch this space…

Sadio Mane is good player ofcoarse but it needs to buy players like James Rodriguez, Isco, Gundogan, Kroos etc

    Please buy mane

  3. Wamukoya David says:

its a great idea we need some speed work on wingside of the pitch. last game Ashley Young attacked good but almost Swansea defender see him out

  4. Mactoni says:

Mane I must say is not and will never be the answer to United. I wonder what happens to the likes of Nicolas Gaitan and Antoine Griezmann? Anderson is ok but Mane….he’s just an average player like Bojan, Vardy that United has been linking up to. We need world class players and not average ones who can only do better player for average club instead.

  5. Mach says:

Mane has a speed that can cause trouble to many team but Anderson is also ok
