Could the PSG boss be the man for Old Trafford?

Jose Mourinho may be the name on everyone’s lips when it comes to a successor for the seemingly doomed Louis Van Gaal but now a new name has emerged according to the latest reports.

The Star notes:

“Laurent Blanc is the new name in the running IF Manchester United make a managerial change.

“It remains a big if, as the Old Trafford hierarchy are continuing to back Louis van Gaal, despite another sub-standard display at Liverpool last Thursday.

“But if a change is made in the summer, Paris St-Germain boss Blanc will be considered along with Jose Mourinho and current United assistant manager Ryan Giggs.”

Blanc may not be the most popular choice among United fans but he is someone who’s well respected in world football and knows what it entails to be a part of the club. Should the United board decide to give the former defender a chance of turning things around at Old Trafford it may be a move that keeps the anti-Mourinho brigade happy without handing over the reins to the inexperienced Giggs.
