Which club will Southampton's latest youngster end up at?

Southampton’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is at the centre of a three way tussle between United and the two North London Premier League clubs according to a report in the Daily Mail.

The Saints winger has impressed since coming through the same ranks which has produced the likes of Theo Walcott and Gareth Bale.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has an impressive seven goals and eight assists in 25 games for the League One outfit and is one of the hottest prospects in the English game.

The Mail notes:

“Tottenham have stepped up their interest in 17-year-old Southampton starlet Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

“Coach Tim Sherwood made a personal check on the teenager, already an England Under 21 international, during Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Charlton.

“Manchester United are also monitoring the situation and are thought to be prepared to offer £10m for the youngster.

“While Arsenal could loan the England Under 21 international back to Southampton after buying him, United could be prepared to get him involved in the first-team squad immediately.

“United have money to spend this summer and are reportedly lining up an offer of £5m up-front with another £5m based on appearances.”
