Paul Pogba

The Academy side may just hold the answer to United's problems

United’s under 18’s were held to a draw with Stoke at Carrington on Saturday.

Despite Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba dominating the midfield the Reds had to settle for a point as Stoke grabbed an equaliser with just over five minutes to go.

Goals for Jesse Lingard and a Paul Pogba penalty were not enough to give United victory although there were still a lot of positives to take from the game.

Some have claimed that next season messrs Pogba and Morrison should be given a real first team chance and on this showing it’s not hard to see why.

Larnell Cole also impressed for the Academy side.

United: Johnstone; Massacci, Blackett, Fornasier (M Keane, 46), McGinty; Cole, Pogba, Tunnicliffe, Lingard (Lawrence, 64); Morrison; van Velzen (Ekangamene, 81).

To repeat myself. We need a couple of foreign coaches 1 from Spain & 1 from Holland.
Pogba good enough for the first team NOW Morrison not far behind.
Dont think Cole and Lingard are good enough.
The under 18’s need to up their work rate when they dont have the ball.
