Paul Pogba

The Academy side may just hold the answer to United's problems

United’s under 18’s were held to a draw with Stoke at Carrington on Saturday.

Despite and Paul Pogba dominating the the had to settle for a point as Stoke grabbed an equaliser with just over five minutes to go.

Goals for Jesse Lingard and a Paul Pogba penalty were not enough to give United victory although there were still a lot of positives to take from the game.

Some have claimed that next season messrs Pogba and Morrison should be given a real first team chance and on this showing it’s not hard to see why.

Larnell also impressed for the Academy side.

United: Johnstone; Massacci, , Fornasier (M , 46), McGinty; Cole, Pogba, Tunnicliffe, Lingard (Lawrence, 64); Morrison; van Velzen (Ekangamene, 81).
