Zoran Tosic playing for United

A rare photo of the Serbian playing for United

Former United ‘star’ Zoran Tosic scored the winner for Serbia in their Euro 2012 against Northern Ireland on Friday night.

In the sort of atmosphere their used to at Eastlands due to only 240 fans being -all from Northern Ireland- allowed in the game, it was a somewhat strange affair.

Corry and Jonny Evans both started for the Irish who took the lead through Gareth McAuley. Marko Pantelic equalised before Tosic scored with a stunning strike. Always thought we should have kept him……honest.

Why is this a “United” story??? He doesn’t play for us anymore, Evans does!

To be honest, I am interested in how our players perform when they move on. I also think we should of kept Tosic as he as great qualities, I don’t think he had a proper chance, only playing with a weakened team in Carling Cup. I would of liked to see him playing in a full strength united side. Could have made a difference this year with the lack of wide players.

Still think Tosic could of become a good player for us had he been given more of a chance by the manager, but disappointingly he wasn’t.
