Could 'The New Ronaldinho' be joining the Old Trafford ranks in the Summer?

According to a report in the Telegraph Brazilian midfielder Douglas Costa paid a visit to the Theatre of Dreams to witness the last gasp United victory.

Sir Alex Ferguson wasn’t the only notable figure watching United’s game against Bolton from the stands yesterday.

The Telegraph notes:

“Costa, who left Gremio for Shakhtar Donetsk in a £5m transfer in January 2010, watched Manchester United’s clash with Bolton Wanderers on Saturday from the Old Trafford directors’ box.

“The 20-year-old has scored 15 goals in 61 appearances for Shakhtar, who are due to face Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals next month, and was a £7m target for United in August 2009 but Gremio rejected attempts to take him to Old Trafford.”

The player dubeed ‘the New Ronaldinho’ is the latest in a  never ending list of youngsters reportedly destined for Old Trafford.

Whether there’s any truth to these rumours remains to be seen but there’s no denying Costa is a huge talent.
