Rafael angry with Tevez

"I'm the best Brazilian at United, okay?"

The success of the Da Silva twins seems to have given United a severe taste for samba soccer as a report in the Daily Mail reveal the club have signed a pre-deal with five youngsters.

The Mail notes:

“Confidentiality agreements prevent Desportivo Brasil from revealing which of their 100-plus teenagers have a pre-contract agreement with United, but Sportsmail has learned that the five players pictured at Old Trafford are called Gladstony, Aguilar, Lucas Evangelista, Agnaldo and Rafael Leao.”

The players will have to wait a little while before they can join United however due to ther youth.

The Mail concludes:

“The five are now visiting Dutch champions Twente, who United plan to use as a holding club for the boys to gain European Union passports.

“Midfielders Gladstony and Rafael Leao will be 18 later this year — the age at which they can legally sign for a club outside Brazil — but tight immigration laws in England mean they are unlikely to be granted work permits as, unlike United defenders Rafael or Fabio da Silva, they have not even represented their country at youth level.

“This is where Twente come in. Holland will happily let the boys play there, where they can stay until they qualify for an EU passport or get enough international experience for a UK work permit.”

Signing an agreement with five players may seem a little excessvie, but these things can often flater due to factors such as work permit problems, youngsters feeling homesick, or just not quite living up to their potential.

It seems United have now decided on a “safety in numbers” type policy to ensure they can gain at least one or two emerging talents.

Here’s a link to the article which also feature pictures of all five players -supposedly on a trip to Old Traffrod. I use the word supposedly as it could be five random young lads if I’m perfectly honest, as I have no idea what any of them look like.

We’ll just have to take The Mail’s word for it.
