Alexis Sanchez

His Ryan Giggs impression was lacking some major chest hair

Sir Alex Ferguson is pulling out all the stops to bring Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez to Old Trafford next season according to the Telegraph, even if it means upsetting the ‘noisy neighbours.’

The Telegraph reports:

“Manchester United have made a dramatic late swoop to hijack Manchester City’s deal to sign the highly-rated winger Alexis Sanchez for up to £26.5 million.

“It is understood that Sanchez’s representatives met with City officials on Friday to thrash out personal terms for the Chilean international. But in an unexpected twist that will cause alarm at Eastlands, it is believed the agents then had a further meeting, this time with United, yesterday morning.

“Indeed, it is thought that the 22 year-old’s representatives have now indicated that their client would prefer to join United if a deal can be agreed, even though it appeared that a deal was well advanced with their City rivals.”

Many believed it was Sanchez Sir Alex tried to buy in the January transfer window when the Uinted boss revealed he’d had a bid for a player turned down.

As usual there’s an awful amount of conjecture when it comes to any possible United transfer but this is one I’d love to see happen, not to wipe the smile off City’s faces but because Sanchez looks like the real deal.

Although if he does choose Eastlands they’re obviously welcome to him.

what a waste of time reading this poor bit of speculation. I saw this on the man city news now page. I must say I didn’t know united fans got together to spout mildly bitter mutterings about getting one over on city. How sad! I actually don’t mind united doing well, pity the same can’t be reciprocated.

The guy is just Awesome. Better than Valencia. Have watched him closely, and he is just Awesome.
    Let’s wait and see

Must United wait for City to make the move before they do so? Sir Ferguson has not been serious about signing top quality players since 2009. The absence of Ronaldo, Tevez and Hagreaves has been very evident since 2009/2010 season. United lost the league last season when they were supposed to be on top of their game. It is almost happening again this season. If he feels $4m players can win major titles, let him signing players like Bebe and Obertan.
