Pato Rodriguez

Could this be Sir Alex's next signing?

There were some strong rumours circulating yesterday night that Manchester United were close to completing the signing of 21 year old Independiente left sided midfielder Pato Rodriguez (Patricio Rodriguez).

It is thought that he is just waiting for a work permit before he can sign a pre-contract agreement to join Manchester United on the 1st July 2011. Whether the rumour is actually true or not, I cannot say.

At the start of last week, according to an Argentinian newspaper, his club were prepared to sell him for 10million euros however his club refused to name which teams are interested in the skilful young player.

I personally do not know much of the player, however after a bit of youtube scouting I found that he could possibly be one of the best dribblers of the ball I have ever seen. He is extremely quick and goes past players for fun. This season he has made 27 appearances scoring 3 goals for Independiente and is yet to make a full international cap for Argentina.

Although I cannot guarantee whether the rumours are true or not I leave you with this video of Pato Rodriguez so you can make your own mind up on the player.

In Argentina that’s the sign for paying money. He made a bet with the coach: if he scored the coach will have to pay him a reward. So he was claiming that

PLEASE FERGIE do NOT sign him! he’s had great performances in the last games, but he’s just not good enough for United, maybe for Arsenal if he develops, but NOT FOR UNITED.
