Pato Rodriguez

Could this be Sir Alex's next signing?

There were some strong rumours circulating yesterday night that Manchester United were close to completing the signing of 21 year old Independiente left sided midfielder Pato Rodriguez (Patricio Rodriguez).

It is thought that he is just waiting for a work permit before he can sign a pre-contract agreement to join Manchester United on the 1st July 2011. Whether the rumour is actually true or not, I cannot say.

At the start of last week, according to an Argentinian newspaper, his club were prepared to sell him for 10million euros however his club refused to name which teams are interested in the skilful young player.

I personally do not know much of the player, however after a bit of youtube scouting I found that he could possibly be one of the best dribblers of the ball I have ever seen. He is extremely quick and goes past players for fun. This season he has made 27 appearances scoring 3 goals for Independiente and is yet to make a full international cap for Argentina.

Although I cannot guarantee whether the rumours are true or not I leave you with this video of Pato Rodriguez so you can make your own mind up on the player.

Though i don’t rily know this boy very well but all i know is that we do need a creative midfielder who can dribble defenders with ease. Let Fergie give him a trial.

Goooooooooooooal! Why do we want sneijder? He plays in Rooney’s postistion and never tracks back. We need a ball winner and a left footed winger. Not Wesley or Young. Diarra Maybe or De Rossi in the middle or P.Jones. Get Nani buzzing down the left against weaker teams. We dont even need a new winger really as fergie rarely pics 2 attacking wingers against strong teams. Park on left is fine with val on the right. Or even nani on the left swapping with park. Cleverly should make an impact fingers crossed. Maybe Pogba and Ravel too.
