Going nowhere after all the hullaballoo

The on/off involving Samir ’s potential move away from the , looks ‘off’ again as Arsene Wenger confirmed the French international is staying at .

The Sun reports:

R;The Arsenal boss insisted that Nasri — who has only got one year left on his contract — will stay at the club regardless of whether he extends his .

“Wenger said: “Will he be at the club this season? I say yes. Will he sign a new contract? I hope yes but I’m not the only one to decide that.

“There is always speculation when a player has only one contract year to go and has not signed a new contract that he might leave the club.

“But Samir Nasri is very happy at the club and is committed to staying at the club.”

Although Nasri is a quality player,  I honestly don’t feel too disappointed that he won’t be joining United. With Rooney’s ability to play practically as an attacking midfielder, plus the abundance of wide man we have at , it’s a more conventional central midfielder United should be chasing not an attacking one.
