Everyone seemed to be on the winger's back

United’s on loan winger Bebe has been ruled out for six months with cruciate ligament damage according to his new club Besiktas.

The Guardian reports:

Manchester United’s on-loan winger Bébé has torn his anterior cruciate ligament, Besiktas have announced.

The injury, suffered during the Portugal Under-21s match in Slovakia on Tuesday, is expected to keep Bébé out of action for around six months.

A statement on the official website of Besiktas, where the 21-year-old was on a season-long loan, said they had contacted United to discuss where the operation should take place.

Besiktas said: “A scan has shown an anterior cruciate ligament tear to his left knee and he will be unable to play for six months.

“Surgery is required and we have contacted Manchester United and there will be a joint decision about where the operation will be done.”

Although Bebe has been ridiculed by many in the British press, the lad definitely deserves a bit of luck and this injury comes at a time when it looked as though his loan spell may have been the perfect move for him.
