Wesley Sneijder

"Did I sky plus Big Brother?"

It looks as though we can finally draw a line under the Sneijder to United rumours and concentrate on the fact that we don’t need him because Tom Cleverley’s mint.

The latest pictures from the official Internazionale website show that Sneijder has returned to the squad after a spell away for ‘personal reasons’ and is now training hard.  You can check out the pictures of him training by clicking: here.

The chances of Sneijder, leaving Inter Milan’s training in the next three days to come and sign for United are about as likely as Arsene Wenger spending lots of money.

I really hope I am wrong but our weakness in midfield will prove costly this season. The sad thing is we are are two midfield players short of being an exceptional aide. On the bright side I am looking forward to seeing Pogba. Fabregas was 18 when he broke into the Arsenal side and even then was lauded by Roy Keane as the closest thing he had seen to a young Paul Scholes. Maybe Pogba is the box to box player we need. I have seen him play and, whilst his of positioning will improve, he is the real thing. Personally I am not 100 per cent sure that Cleverly can carry that midfield for a whole season playing the way SAF appears to want to do so, namely with two central midfield players and two wingers. Carrick, Giggs and Fletcher may do a job but it’s a far cry from the players we have had in that position in the past. Even if Rooney comes back to help we are going to suffer against top sides with top players in the centre of the park.
