Arsene finds out his half price coupon has run out

In an act of unbridled overindulgence Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has embarked on a spending spree that’s shook the world of football to its very core.

This week has seen the Gunners boss throwing money around with wanton abandon.

An imaginary source close to the Arsenal boss said: “Arsene’s sick of all the talk of him being stingy so has decided to really push the boat out this week. He didn’t even wait till Orange Wednesdays to go to see the Inbetweeners film, he actually went on Monday- after 12pm!”

Not only has Wenger switched from Aldi to Waitrose, he’s even been spotted travelling by taxi instead of the bus and also only using teabags once.

The first signs Wenger was ‘splashing the cash’ came with reports he tipped a waitress earlier in the week.

Wenger even celebrated Arsenal’s Champions League victory over Udinese by buying all the players a coke on the plane ride home.

Other examples of Wenger’s excessiveness include switching his Sky package from Basic to Premium and changing his electric from a card meter to direct debit.

Whether Wenger’s new found philanthropy will extend to the transfer market remains to be seen but many Arsenal fans remain hopeful.

A source close to the club labeled Wenger’s recent spending: “reckless.”

So original. Is there something in the water up north that’s turning you Mancs retarded?

Bloody hilarious. I almost fell off my chair reading this. Everyone else should just chill out and take it as it is, just a joke.

To the writer, please write more of this crap. Really enjoyed it. Sports writers nowadays seems unable to see the humor of it all. I mean, I read 1-2 dozens of football articles a day and they’re all pretty seriously written. Wouldn’t mind an article that makes you laugh once in a while, don’t you.

Your clearly the kind of “superfan” who knows fuck all about the club and boos your own players, just the kind of twat thats ruining the club and helping our fans become a laughing stock! You should be ashamed of yourself!

  4. It’s quite sad to see that some fans can’t take a light hearted piece with the pinch of salt it deserves.

If all it does is add to your stress and anxiety, log off the computer and pay a visit to your local NHS walk in centre. Explain how you feel, and that banter (which most fans partake in and clearly accept) sends your pulse racing, and you struggle to take it.

The majority of your supporters are great, so I’m sure there’s way forward and I hope you find a cure.

    Good luck.

Totally funny! Especially cos its about Wenger. Hope ur dream comes to pass though. For me I am expecting Wenger to go on water all life, Coke is way over the boil, moreover it has ‘less than a year’ to run on the shelf. The only m anagers entitled to Coke gifts n drins are Mancini and Villas-Boas.

Course this is funny it’s just a light joke, sure we might not be happy with the spending at our club our the exuberant splash of cash of others but state that and stop acting like somethings stuck up your ass

Now is when we do what Real fans did when Barça drubbed them 5-0, aye it sucks…but everyone’ll make a meal of it cause we’re Arsenal, and no matter what we’re the team to beat when the game kicks-off – strike while the iron’s hot, we are down but we’re not out. Ps, didn’t find the post very funny…
