A day to forget for the young Belgian

Here’s what the loanees have been up to over the weekend…

Our only Premier League loan star Ritchie De Laet played 90 minutes for Norwich as the Canaries lost 1-0 to West Brom. The young Belgian was booked and was at fault for the only goal of the game as he failed to intercept Nicky Shorey’s long ball and Odemwingie pounced to poke home past 20-year-old Rudd.

In the Championship, Ryan Tunnicliffe was voted Man of The Match despite his Peterborough side losing 1-0 to Hull City. Hull’s side included other loanee Robbie Brady who lasted the full 90 too. Scott Wooton came on at 54 minutes for Peterborough after his side were already a goal down.

Danny Drinkwater played the full 90 minutes as Barnsley drew 1-1 to frustrate big-spending Leicester City.

Down in League One, Oli Norwood and Sam Johnstone both started for Scunthorpe in a close 1-1 draw at home to Sheffield United. Goalkeeper Johnstone lasted the full 90 in his first game out on loan but Norwood was substituted with 20 minutes remaining. The result means that the Iron are still to record their first league win this season and sit in 17th.

Joshua King was again left out of the Borussia Monchengladbach squad as the German side continued their solid start to the Bundesliga season at the expense of winless Kaiserslautern.

This name of this article should be changed to “loan glance”. Hardly insightful. Our young players played alot of soccer this week. Could you not soccer it up a bit? try watch the games and give us a bit of information?

If this seems a bit much may i suggest that
the format of your article should be as follows:

Ritchie De Laet 90 minutes 🙁
    Ryan Tunnicliffe 90 minutes 🙂
    Scott Wooton 54 minutes
    Danny Drinkwater 90 minutes :/
    Etc…

I mean it’s faster to read this way and it stops anyone from getting there hopes up of a bit of insight.
