This is a still taken from the Liverpool United game. One of the Liverpool fans who were praised for their “responsible behaviour” by the media, aimed this clever monkey impersonation at Patrice Evra.

Yes United lost and we have to accept that, we were beaten and are out of the FA Cup but there is no way this type of behaviour is acceptable and shouldn’t go unpunished.

Booing Evra is one thing- admittedly bad enough considering he was being booed for refusing to accept being racially abused- but this is completely wrong and the FA or even better, Liverpool football club should act.

On the whole Evra’s treatment was exactly what most fans expected and only the player knows if his booing actually affected his game, although the late error could well have been down to the emotional strain.

The Evra/Suarez affair has dominated the media long enough now and while I’m sure fans from both clubs wish it would end.with behaviour like this from certain supporters theres no chance of that happening anytime soon.

some of them are so small minded, this type of thing was bound to happen

  2. JD says:

he’s obviously letting out a puff of air and reaching for something in his upper pocket.

    grow up.

    2 – 1.

    • NathonW says:

Ha ha ha ha yes letting out a puff of air whilst reaching for something from under both armpits.

Just like Suarez didnt understand what he was saying?

Excuses excuses excuses jesus doesnt it get boring.

    • jetelinho says:

ysb / not worth 1 more word – those unalphabeted scouses-scum would not understand it anyway. sadly, the by far better team lost today (co-incidence only though)

  3. sitesired says:

There are idiots at every club . This is just a mature scouse idiot .

  4. ahmad says:

    useless refereeeee

  5. NathonW says:

I dont think the ref was at fault today at all.

Liverpool parked the bus and relied on long balls and set pieces; it worked perfectly for them.

We do not make our possession count enough going forward these days – today was like watching Arsenal – pass pass pass pass pass pass pass no end product.

However, I felt Evra although at fault for second goal, played really well, was the model professional and showed what a tough character he is when faced with boo’s jeer’s and ignornant racist supporters.

  6. Saul says:

Would you agree that those arrested for spitting on the Hillsborough memorial and those chanting Murderers in the away end deserve to be banned for life from both Anfield and Old Trafford?

    • John says:

I would. if it had happened. Instead Merseyside police have said no-one was arrested and the person who spread the rumour has admitted there was no basis to it.

  7. Paul says:

I agree this idiot should be banned for life. But every clud has its idiots and united has its fair share. But this whole thread just stinks of sour grapes!

    • RedScot says:

Hi Paul, no I dont think it is “sour” grapes mate.
This fabulous United forum has for a long time fought the fight against racism. If you care to look back through the various “threads”?.
Now I am not saying in the picture we are provided with to comment on is “racist”.
I dont know the context of what the person is doing, but it looks fairly clear, to my eye.
As I said be careful what you write mate.Couch your words with care.

  8. RedScot says:

Be careful what you write on this subject lads.
With a police investigation mounted they will review all links to that apparently vile picture.
An adult also, looks old enough to be my dad acting like a child of the 60s.
    There is always ‘one’.

Liverpool won fair and square, there’s no point being bitter about it, we can say that we deserved to win and that we dominated for long periods but they scored more goals than us from the chances they had.

I take huge issue from the Anfield crowd’s treatment of Evra, which was disgusting to be quite frank. Some things are bigger than football and booing evra for reporting racist abuse, (something that Suarez admitted to) is sickening, the city of Liverpool should be ashamed……

    • RedScot says:

I agree Liverpool won fair and square.United had in the first half 62% of the football, no killer touch, to complete the possesion.
As Stan Collymore said on Talk Sport, mate you can’t ban swathes of Liverpool supporters for boooing.
We are out of the FA Cup in a way its a blessing with our huge injuries list.Who would have got this far in the premiership with that albatross.
We are missing 12 first team players.
I think its a credit to all the players today.
      Not to be.Thats football.

      • Anneeq Anwar says:

Maybe u cant ban fans but u can ban liverpool supporters from watching their team for a couple of games. A bit like how the England supporters were banned from supporting England against Turkey. Some harsh punishments have to be made for inhumane behaviour, cos lets not forget Evra isnt the only player to get racially abused at the kop. Racism and abusing someone for reporting racist incidents is wrong, plain and simple the scousers have to learn that pretty soon………

        • BARNEY says:

aw get a grip you big girls blouse.your supposed to be grown up. its a bit of name calling. you dont see fat people complaining to the police if someone calls them a fat bastad.or bald people or ginger. soft kunt

  10. Paul says:

    RedScot,
I’m not condoning this idiots actions in any way and hope he and any others who acted in a similar way get banned for life. It’s obvious to anyone who looks at that picture what he doing and no doubt who it’s aimed at.
I actually think he’s retarded in some way… Wouldn’t be seen dead in that knitted coat thing he wearing!

    • RedScot says:

I would normally laugh and make a ‘ funny’ comment.
Thats how I see United Paul, its humour wickedness.
He clearly shops at Marks and Spencer, hoodie.Ffs.
Ps Nobody agree’s with his actions. alledgedly.
