De Gea – Pulled off two miracle saves from four yards out and a third late on. Just gets better and better the more he plays. Commanding performance. 8

Jones – Didn’t make his usual attacking runs but he stuck to basics and defended well. 6

Evans – He did really well at the back but its his confidence to carry the ball out of our half and make himself an extra midfield outlet that impressed me. 7

Ferdinand – He’s amazing at the worst of times but Rio was out of this world today. Read every cross, pass and run to perfection. 9

Evra – On the back foot for long periods of the game but he was left unprotected by his wingers and was punished as a result. Unlucky. 5

Nani – Odd performance. Although he disappeared at times and saw very little of the ball, he was effective when he had it at his feet. Great cross for the first. 6

Carrick – Poor. Played ahead of his midfield partner but never set the tempo or played a ball forward. Overrun for large chunks of the game. 5

Scholes – Yes he did score but he impressed me more with his ability to break up play. Didn’t offer much going forward and his sloppy pass lead to their goal. 5

Giggs – I could dwell on how he struggled to cope with the tempo of playing on the wing but instead I’ll just congratulate him on scoring an injury time winner on his 900th United appearance. Arise Sir Ryan Giggs. 6

Hernandez – Never really happened for him. Weak when holding up the ball and struggled to connect with his strike partner. 5

Welbeck – Linked up well with the wingers and unlucky to have his chip cleared of the line. Would have scored on another day. 6

Subs:

Ashley Young – Added a different dimension to our attack and even allowed Evra to push forward. Kept his cool to set up the injury time winner. 7

Smalling – Brought on to waste time with less than a minute left. Didn’t touch the ball. N/A

were you watching the same game.DeGea was brilliant.Evans was poor,Jones was terrible,Welbeck was the worst player on the pitch along with Carrick,Ferdenand was at fault for the goal,Hernandez is again the scapegoat for Ferguson.Utd were again clueless, leaderless and very poorly coached.
