It’s here, all the speculation, conjecture, suggestions and arguing over who Sir Alex should/would pick is now completely irrelevant as the United boss has named his team for the biggest derby in the history of the Universe TM.

United need a point while City must beat us to have any real chance of winning the league, a fact which has no doubt influenced both manager’s thinking. The term ‘squeaky bum time’ doesnt do it justice as this one of the most nerve racking games any fan-let alone player can recall being involved with for quite some time. It’s not just a title at stake its bragging rights or more importantly keeping the ‘noisy neighbours’ quiet for at least another season. Manchester is Red, let’s just hope this line up helps to confirm that in a game that even the most indifferent Mancunian has suddenly got an opinion on.

Starting XI: De Gea Jones Smalling Ferdinand Evra Carrick Scholes Park Nani Giggs Rooney

When was the last time park played? I’m not liking this.

    Drop Rooney!

I think Ferguson is the best manager in the history of football, but god did he get his team selection wrong today or what?

On current form Jones doesn’t deserve to be in the match day squad let alone starting. Giggs and Scholes playing together was never going to be effective against City.
And why on earth, would we bench Valencia, who has arguably been the best player in the league over the last two months.
    Absolutely flabbergasted.
