"Liverpool? Ha ha ha! Yeah, I remember that."

There was a football match on Monday, but nobody really wants to read about that.

Roy Hodgson is the new England manager. The FA announced their decision this week, putting an end to weeks of speculation. It came as a shock to some, as most believed that Harry Redknapp was the favourite to get the job. One lucky online gambler, had £50,000 on Hodgson getting the job. RosieRedknapp has already collected his winnings.

Wayne Rooney has scored the greatest Premier League goal. His over head kick, against Manchester City was voted the best, by the Premier League fans. He beat off stiff competition from Paul Scholes, Cristiano Ronaldo and Dimitar Berbatov. Not that im biased or anything……

This week saw Manchester City’s end of season awards. This saw thier players walking down a blue carpet at The Etihad stadium. Sergio Aguero was voted player of the season. It is thought that roughly 65% of the supporters voted for him, as well as 75% of the empty blue seats.

Chelsea have made an offer to buy Battersea power station. They plan to build a stadium on the site, that would rival Old Trafford and The Emirates, as the best stadium in the league. However, most believe that Abramovich will get bored half way through the project and will end up playing on John Terry’s front lawn.

There were ugly scenes in Italy this week. No, Carlos Tevez was not there, looking for a holiday home. Fiorentina coach Delio Rossi and Adam Ljajic were involved in a bust up, after Ljajic reacted badly to being subsituted. There hasn’t been as much shock, at the events on the substitute bench, since Sir Alex Ferguson said ‘Warm up Michael’

And finally. Liverpool’s accounts have been released this week. To put it nicely, they aren’t very good. Their income is far behind that of the Premier League big hitters, and their wage bill is increasing. Kenny Dalglish is unconcerned, instead claiming that the number of points, is more important than finances. Oh, shi…..

And FINALLY! All associated with Manchester United would like to say “We believe in you Papiss”
