Lindegaard – Made one fantastic difficult save but also managed to cock up a few simple catches. Needs to add consistency to his game. 6

Rafael – Not his best performance this season but always looked to push up and make up for the lack of width in our attacking lineup. 6

Jones – Not his biggest fan but he gave an impressive performance tonight by injecting some urgency and strength to our defence. 6

Carrick – Again played out of his usual position and again it showed. Still, he’s been a dream for us when it’s come to squad rotation. 5

Büttner – I can appreciate his efforts to bomb forward when possible but his positional play is bad enough as it is without him having to run back 50 yards every time we lose the ball. Still. I reckon he’ll come good eventually. 5

Cleverely – Always showing for the ball and trying to get the ball moving. He probably didn’t control the game as well as he’d wanted to but he was good enough. 6

Fletcher – I’m pretty sure it was the gaffer who’d told him to always play it simple but even them, I’d like to see him be a bit more creative when passing. He lacked some sharpness with his play. 5

Anderson – I’m enjoying watching him play nowadays thanks to his enthusiasm and speed which help him carry the ball forward. If only he had the fitness to compliment his play. 7

Powell – A bit rusty and maybe looked out of place at times, the youngster lost the ball a bit too often for my liking. Then again, he nearly scored for us with a great header. 5

Hernandez – Had the two best opportunities out of our strikers and wasted both of them by delaying on the ball and not connecting his shots properly. 5

Welbeck – Worked his socks off and was involved in our best opportunities. Needs to start scoring though. 6

Subs:

Young – Brought on to add some creativity and width to our play. He did neither. 5

Macheda – How’s he still at United?

King – N/A
