De Gea – A massive performance from the Spaniard to silence his doubters once again. Made a series of excellent saves to keep us ahead. 8

Rafael – Yet another admirable performance from my contender for Young Player of the Season. His assist for our second would have made Scholes proud. 8 (MOTM)

Vidic – A proper captain’s performance as he lead the defence through bombardment from the Everton wingers. Dealt with the aerial threats brilliantly. 8

Evans – Equally as good as his captain, young Jonny was strong in the air and prepared to fight for every ball till the final whistle. 8

Evra – A relatively quiet day for Patrice who has been in rich form coming into today. Think I’ll let him off though as he just did enough. 5

Valencia – First time in a while he’s looked comfortable on the ball and actually capable of playing football. Hopefully the first step to a long recovery. 6

Cleverley – Always involved in the first half but faded away as the game drew to a close. Had a fantastic effort tipped over. 6

Jones – A colossal performance from someone who should play a crucial role in us trying to keep Ronaldo quiet. Did all the rights things today so here’s to hoping he can continue this level of performance on Weds. 8

Giggs – What more is there left to say about him? 8

Van Persie – He actually had a pretty bad game and yet somehow ended up with an assist and a goal. Now that is world class. 6

Rooney – Worked hard all game and looked to be on a mission to make amends for our team’s disappointing 4-4 game last season. He showed balls. 8

Subs:
Carrick – Brought on to keep possession and add his usual calming influence to our midfield. 7

Smalling – N/A

    My thoughts:
De Gea – Increditable performance. Really wish he would keep on his good work. 7

Rafael – He did a tremendous job. Both offensive and defensive performance was fantastic. 8

Vidic – He was quite stable in the game although he still hadn’t reach his top form. We really need him to maintain the stronge defensive line. 7

Evans – He was also pretty stable and was less shakey than the previous game. 8

Evra – Although he was a bit quiet, he played very stable. It was properly because they were having a lead of the game and he didn’t need to play too much offensive. 6

Valencia – He played better than last few games. But, he still didn’t know how to move forward that a winger needed to do. He still looks like a fool in the game. 5

Cleverley – He worked so hard, but still didn’t do well on distributing the ball. 6

Jones – He keep Fellaini like a dump in the game. But, Jones sometimes wanted to play offensive and let Fellanini getting a chance. But, he did his role pretty well. 8

Giggs – No doubt about it. He was one of the great performance player in the game. 8

Van Persie – He should have 3 goals in the game but unfortunately he only got 1. 6.5

Rooney – He Worked so hard in game. But, his role was quite confusing in the team. Feeling like he was being mis-used on his power. 7

    Subs:
Carrick – He still could control Fellaini well after Jones left. 7

Smalling – Although he only played around 10 mins, he showed quite shakey. He is still not solid at the moment. 5

I disagree with Giggs. If you just concentrate on Giggs throughout the game you will see he was mediocre. But good goal
