De Gea – Made a crucial save to keep us ahead midway through the second half and another late on. Third consecutive cleansheet for the Spaniard. 7

Rafael – What a player he’s turning out to be. Scored a peach, saved our lead with a clearance off the line and was our best player all game. 9

Vidic – Yet another impressive performance from the big Serb as he looks to make his way back into the regular starting XI. 7

Ferdinand – Quality on and off the ball. Snuffed out any attacks and helped us keep possession when under pressure. 8

Evra – Pushed up and caused the QPR defence a whole load of trouble. Unlucky not to grab an assist or two. 7

Nani – Quiet first half but grew into the game and passed the ball really well. Connected brilliantly with Evra down the left. 7

Carrick – His usual hardworking self, and then some. Seemed to suck the ball from his opposition and spray it with ease. 8

Giggs – His 999th career appearance. What more is there to say? Great strike too! 7

Young – Faded in and out of the game, producing some quality pieces at times, but faded out completely in others. 6

Van Persie – Quiet game overall but still unlucky not to score a pearl. Came off with an injury which we all hope was just a precaution. 6

Hernandez – Disappointing unfortunately. Didn’t pass the ball well, failed to connect with his teammates and caused their ‘keeper very little trouble. 5

Subs:
Welbeck – Lacked quality in front of goal but good overall. 6

Rooney – Came on and sprayed the ball intelligently to help see out the game. 7

Valencia – N/A

The only one I really disagree with is Giggs. Thought h
e bossed the midfield. Won the ball and passed well all game. Great going forward and covering back when needed, great game. Easily an 8 from me.

  2. Alan Holden says:

Danny still needs to think about shooting first time. He takes too many touches in front of goal and allows defences to regroup.

  3. Alan Holden says:

P.S. Did you also note that not a single card was shown?

  4. Greatman says:

They got victory and 15 points lead. But, their playing last night was not that sharp. Luckly got 2 goals but both were not from their strikers. Here are some of my thoughts:

De Gea – Tremendous performance with another cleansheet. He is continuing re-gain his confidence. 8

Rafael – I really didn’t expect he could get that far. Great goal and confident play. 9.5

Vidic – He worked pretty hard as usual and got bleeding on his face as usual as well. But, I still think it was not his best form and he also felt a bit lack of confident when passing ball to his teammates. 7

Ferdinand – Showed confident when controlling the ball. Passing the ball well to his teammates. Just a bit slow but experient could help. 8

Evra – He almost got one or two assists. But, his defensive play was not so solid last night. Also, he didn’t match well with Young. But, it might not his fault. 6

Nani – Although he was not so sharp last night especially in first half, he did re-gain his form pretty well. Also, grabbed an assist on Gigi’s goal. Not bad. 7

Carrick – He was not that stable as usual. Probably, it was because he didn’t work so often with Gigi in midfield. 6

Giggs – He was still “young” and grabbed a tremedous goal. He did more than I expected. But, it needs to be careful when putting him on midfield when trying to play defensively. 7

Young – Really not in form. Hopefully, it was because of his recovery from injury not so long. But, he is still up and down after joining Man Utd. 5

Van Persie – Got a great chance but failed to score. Also, got injury and changed out. Hope he will be fine soon. 6

Hernandez – Definitely not his best especially when he was working with Wellbeck. No teamwork at all. 4

    Subs:
Welbeck – Working so hard to prove his quality but indeed he got not much. Creating good chance but throwing it away so quick. He should try to keep thing simple and build up solid foundaton before doing something advance. 4

Rooney – After he had come out, the front line became more stable and re-group. He also worked well with Nani and made him more useful than first half. 7

Valencia – Not much to say. But, I think if Nani and him are playing at the same time in the upcoming games. He could have a chance to play better since it is not necessary to be too depending to him on the right side. Let see what happen next. 3

Valencia: n/a that was my favorite part. We really need an answer. What happened to our player of the season?

  6. yo says:

    man i would be honest
giggs is overrated here he loose the 5 times or so and put us in danger didnt create much
but his goal was world class undoutedly

  7. Trevor says:

I thought all the back five deserve 8 each along with Carrick and Nani.
If Welbeck could lose his fear in front of goal United would have a top forward. The reason is plain to see every time he gets in front of goal he never takes a snapshot in case he misses and always takes that extra touch to set himself up so he does not miss.
He is too frightened to miss.and until the coaches tell him otherwise he will carry on

  8. Trevor says:

If Valencia is not in the first team and on the bench the manager always plays him as sub. Everyone knows now he is playing rubbish and if Fergie was to leave him out for a few weeks like he is. Doing to Cleverley and Anderson he might buck up his ideas.
I still put his form to him getting the number7 shirt. Ever since he has worn it he has not performed like a United player.
Fergie should give him his old shirt back and save the 7 shirt for Zaha
