Feeling a bit hypocritical. We slag the bitters off for buying success and we kind of do the same. RVP etc. what happened to our youth?

Even the success of Becks, Giggs, the Nevilles, Scholes and Butt was accompanied by record signing (at the time) Roy Keane – record signing (at the time) Andy Cole and other big money buys like David May, Jaap Stam and Dwight Yorke.
We have always spent – but they money we have spent is generated from the club success, not a ‘sugar daddy’ Arab or Russian.
