After a Summer of rumour, newspaper stories and well….lots of disappointments coupled with a bit of inactivity, the football season finally gets under way. Sort of. United face Wigan in the Charity, sorry Community Shield today as David Moyes aims to win his first bit of silverware since his days at Preston.
Other than a certain Scouse striker injured with a severely ruptured ego, Moyes has a fairly strong squad to choose from, although some of the players featured in Rio Ferdinand’s #testimonial – yes the hashtag was deliberate- so won’t be fully fit to play. Probably.
Here’s a predicted line up for today’s game. DDG, Rafael, Nemanja Vidic, Jonny Evans, Patrice Evra, Phil Jones, Michael Carrick, Wilfried Zaha, Nani, RVP, Danny Welbeck.
Let us know whether you agree below:
I agreed with d squard btut why u dnt put cleverly instead of jones and kagawa behind vrp.bcos welbeck is nt a complete striker.
Up united,it sure united is wining
I feel that adnan could feature since i was greatly impressed by his performance against Sevilla. Somebody commented his playing style was similar to that of kaka. Kagawa should also feature but since he started the testimonial he would probably be on the bench.
Man united is the wining team
I’ve heard nani is still injured. Hernandez in for Welbeck and kagawa for jones
wit stat wit d nani am hapy wit dat, bt why dnt u stat wit kagawa insteat of welbak, he alwayz play as his name, i agree wit squad up United
United winning d match 4 sure, but com to tink of it wia d hell is ma guy”CHICHARITO”
were ma guy hernandez
No wellbeck please…lets move forward not backwards…let kagawa find his feet..
I don’t think Jones n carrick can play in d midfield alone I quess carrick and adranson or clever can be d best partnership den VP and Kagawa instead of welbk
