Time for the former Evertonian to show his worth?

Manchester United’s unbeaten run is at stake tonight, that’s what really matters, not the chance to leapfrog Everton into the top five, or the possibility of finally looking like title challengers.

No, it’s extending the unbeaten run to 12 games, that’s what steams my pudding. Okay so the unbeaten run may not mean all that to most Reds, but there’s no denying that should it end tonight- or simply continue thanks to a draw- then David Moyes and Manchester United may both regret the fact he isn’t still at Everton such would be the backlash from many fans.

With Phil Jones suspended and Michael Carrick injured now may be the time for Marouane Fellaini to prove he isn’t a £27 million pound present to the Everton chairman. Ryan Giggs was superb against Leverkusen and may just get the nod over Tom Cleverley, who’s not used to playing two games in less than a week this season.

Here’s a predicted line up for tonight’s game- do you agree with it?

4-2-3-1: David De Gea, Rafael, Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling, Patrice Evra, Marouane Fellaini, Ryan Giggs, Nani, Shinji Kagawa, Danny Welbeck, Wayne Rooney.
