Will the youngster be given another chance? could well look upon the FA Cup as the trophy that helps prolong his United career, such has been the difficulties experienced by the in the league this season. Picking up a trophy United haven’t won in a decade would certainly silence a few critics and may just be enough to keep in a job even if we don’t qualify for the Champions League.

United’s cause isn’t helped with an injury list that would keep the NHS in business – if it was the profit making enterprise the coalition government are desperate to turn it into.

I digress, United need to beat Swansea City who are no pushovers, so expect to pick as strong a side as possible for Sunday’s game- regardless of the injury crisis.

Here’s my predicted line up for the FA Cup game:

David De Gea, Chris Smalling, Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Patrice Evra, Darren Fletcher, Tom Cleverley, Wilfried Zaha, Shinji Kagawa, Ryan Giggs, Danny Welbeck.
