Can Welbeck add to his recent goals?

David Moyes is enjoying something of a golden period as United manager- at least in comparison to the rest of his tenure – as his side look towards a fifth straight Premier League win.

Unlike West Ham, Aston Villa, Hull City and Norwich, today’s opponents are aiming for a lot more than just top flight survival. Spurs have enjoyed something of a renaissance under new manager Tim Sherwood, scoring seven goals in their last three games- not bad for a side that managed 15 in total before that run.

David Moyes may be able to recall Robin Van Persie to the side, but I expect it’s a game too soon- especially given the fine form Danny Welbeck is in. The United boss will be wary of the threat of Aaron Lennon- a player Patrice Evra has historically struggled against- so we can expect Ashley Young to start due to his willingness to help out defensively. Antonio Valencia returns from his one match suspension.

Here’s my predicted line up: David De Gea, Rafael, Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans, Patrice Evra, Tom Cleverley, Michael Carrick, Ashley Young, Wayne Rooney, Antonio Valencia, Danny Welbeck.

Do you agree?

I would imagine you will be as nervous as Spurs fans going into this one. They know they can win one nil or get thrashed. You know that beating Norwich by one isn’t quite the Man Utd of old. The pressure of both your rivals doing well won’t help either so this screams out a cautious game from both sides.

I do hope my Luton Town win though (we beat Arsenal once you know).

This is the game of the day along with Fulham vs West Ham.

I suspect you and Spurs will be willing Stoke, Southampton and WBA to record at least a draw in their games though, what?
