Will this pair be at United next season?

Louis Van Gaal is not only expected to be announced as the new United boss any day now, but also arrive at Old Trafford brandishing the axe for many of the current stars, according to reports.

The Mail notes:

Manchester United’s players and their families gathered at Carrington on Sunday for a children’s fun day organised by interim manager Ryan Giggs knowing that the party is almost over.

For a number of the squad, Tuesday’s match against Hull City will be their last appearance at Old Trafford. For others, that moment has already passed. Hours later, Louis van Gaal is set to be confirmed as manager and life will never be quite the same again.

The story then lists a host of United players who underachieved against Sunderland – Ashley Young, Nani, Chicharito- on Saturday before adding:

None of them are safe from the Van Gaal revolution as he prepares to take a £150million wrecking ball to the empire that Sir Alex Ferguson built.

It remains to be seen who will survive the LVG appointment, but there’s no doubt the Dutchman won’t be afraid to trim a squad that in all honesty needs to lose some of it’s under-performing fringe players.

If Van Gaal wants to succeed, the legion of inept British players which Fergie propped up in his utopian dream of building the English national team at Old Trafford must go. Carrick, Fletcher, Young, Welbeck, Evans, Jones and Ferdinand must leave. How many of them have been able to make it to the world cup? In addition, Felaini, Valencia and Nani should be shown the exit door. Enough of wingless wingers.
