The youngster could be given more of chance this season.

James Wilson has given Louis Van Gaal something to think about with a message of intent on the club’s pre-season tour.

Teenage striking sensation James Wilson hasn’t had much of a chance under Louis Van Gaal although he was used mainly as a substitute earlier last season.

Speaking to ManUtd.com when asked if he thinks he can make an impact on the first team Wilson noted:

“I hope so. I can only show the manager what I have got. He kind of knows my qualities so I have just got to go out on the pitch, show him what I can do and hopefully get that chance to play this season.

“It is tough for the manager with so many players on the tour because everyone has to get minutes, so it was nice to play in both games and 45 minutes was good. I feel fit and I am just hoping not to get injured like last season. It is going to be an important year for me.”

Wilson’s pace makes him a handful for any defence and with Robin Van Persie having moved on, plus Radamel Falcao no longer being at the club, the youngster may get more of chance to shine next season- let’s just hope he takes it.
