Another youngster signs for the club

Ahead of the game against news that almost went under radar was the Reds signing of youngster Timothy Fosu Mensah who first arrived at the club last season. 

The Metro notes:

The 16-year-old defender, who can also operate in midfield, joined from in the summer of 2014, and has impressed in the age-groups since his arrival.

Louis van Gaal is believed to have rewarded the Netherlands Under-17 captain with his first professional deal at Old Trafford.

Fosu-Mensah was pictured signing his new contract beside assistant manager on Friday.

It’s always a positive to see bagging some of the brightest young talents, a fact underlined last night at when Adnan Januzaj bagged the winner – a player who joined the club at a similar age to Fosu Mensah.

Time will obviously tell just how good the former defender Fosu Mensah is and it’s far too soon to be making any judgments but few fans will be disappointed to know the club are doing their to acquire Europe’s talented youngsters. Hopefully Fosu-Mensah will be a name we’ll hear a lot of in the future.
