One of United’s reported targets has completed a move to Italian giants Juventus this week, despite newspapers previously suggesting he could be Old Trafford bound.
Miralem Pjanic have moved from Roma to Juventus the Old Lady confirmed yesterday.
The Mirror notes:
The 26-year-old midfielder had been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea but has put pen to paper on a five-year contract in Turin.
Miralem Pjanic has spoken of his delight after sealing a move to Italian giants Juventus from Serie A rivals Roma.
The 26-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on a five-year contract after the Bianconeri paid £25.4million for his services.
Despite being linked with a move to United, Pjanic was also suggested as a target for other clubs and it’s no great surprise he’s not ended up in Manchester. In a summer where almost every decent player is labelled a United target there’s going to be a lot more heartache for fans who think the Reds are going to snap up everyone they’re linked with. Pjanic is a good player and no doubt could have done a decent job at Old Trafford but very few fans will be losing any sleep over a player who’s not quite at the very top level of United targets this summer.
